Case Study: Gurdwara Guru Granth, Oldbury

Throughout the years, this building near Birmingham has been used, abandoned and repaired multiple times. Finally, after a number of owners, it's now being given a new lease of life and being transformed into a Gurdwara, complete with additional floors consisting of over 200 trusses. The design time alone spanned over a year due to the complexity of the project.     Ready to be Delivered

    The trusses and timber were loaded onto the artic the night before, ready to be driven to site first thing the following day, allowing them to be installed that same day too.

    The Bare Bones of the Roof

    The old roof has been removed, revealing the inner of what was the top floor. Once the attic trusses have been installed, there will be an additional habitable space above this.

    The attic trusses were delivered on an artic to the site, then lifted directly onto the building via the site's pre-arranged crane.
