A monopitch roof truss provides a simple, efficient solution for various structures, including garages, sheds, and extensions. By using fewer materials and reducing construction time, a monopitch roof truss offers a cost-effective option while maintaining strength and stability. These trusses also allow for better water drainage due to their inclined design, making them ideal for areas with heavy rainfall.

Timber Grade: TR26
Timber size: 35mm
Treatment: Only required in areas marked on this map. Treatment is a pesticide to protect against the House Longhorn Beetle and not weather protection.

Step 1: Measure Your Building

You can use our helpful video to learn how to measure your building ready for trusses. If you're unsure, give us a ring and we'll talk you through it. It only takes a few minutes.

Step 2: Place Your Order

Select your span, pitch and overhang (if required), then add any drawings you might have. Don't worry if you don't have any—we'll contact you if we need more information.

Step 3: We'll Phone You & Send a Design

Before even looking in the direction of a saw, we'll give you a ring to check all your measurements are correct. If everything looks good, we'll then send you our design for you to have a look through. If you need to make any amendments, we're always happy to do this.

Step 4: We'll Begin Manufacturing & Arrange Delivery

Once you've confirmed your order, we can begin manufacturing your trusses. One of our team will be in contact to arrange delivery on a day that suits you.

What Are The Benefits of Roof Trusses?

🪽Lightweight: Trusses use up to 40% less material than traditional cut roofs, making them significantly lighter yet just as strong.

💷 Cost-effective: Thanks to their rapid installation times and use of fewer materials, trusses are often cheaper than traditional cut roofs.

💪 Strong: Roof Trusses, with their triangular design, are inherently stronger than traditional methods and will span further without supporting walls.

🏡 Versatile: Roof Trusses are available in a huge variety of configurations to suit your project. These can include attic trusses, raised tie trusses, scissor trusses and more.

⚙️ High quality: Trusses are designed in specialist software and made in a purpose-built factory, ensuring millimetre perfect accuracy every time.

🔨 More site space: Rather than having to store vast amounts of timber on site, trusses can be delivered just in time for installation.

How Many Trusses Do You Need?

The roof length should be measured from the inside face of the blockwork to the inside face of the blockwork.
For cavity walls, the overhang should be measured from the outer edge of the inner skin.

How do I place an order?

Add whatever you need to your basket, add your address (and drawings if you have them), then checkout. We'll ring you to confirm your measurements, send you a design, and confirm a delivery date before taking any funds or manufacturing anything. Once you've received your design and are happy, we'll begin manufacturing.

What's included when I order?

All necessary truss clips and bracing timber are included in the price. Don't worry, we'll calculate the correct amount. Delivery and VAT are added at the checkout.

Can I supply more measurements?

Yes—either use the 'order special instructions' box in the basket or send us an email with any specific requirements you may have along with your name and/or order number.

What are your delivery options?

We can deliver trusses, joists or glulam in as little as 5-10 working days. The price for delivery depends on your location, which can range from £80 to £350. We will ring you after you've placed your order to confirm which day you'd like us to deliver on using our own fleet of vehicles.

For metalwork, it'll be delivered in 1-3 working days using a courier service and costs £20. If spending more than £250 on metalwork, delivery is free.

Are clips and bracing timber included?

Yes—we'll calculate the correct amount and include these in the price you pay above.

Do I need a structural engineer?

No, you don't need a structural engineer. We will design the roof truss and provide you with the necessary structural calculations for building control.

Are your products treated?

As standard, our products are not treated. Treatment is only necessary if you live in the red marked areas on this map. If you do require treatment, please get in touch.

"We wanted to vault the roof of a building from 1850. The existing roof structure was completely rotten. I contacted Tailor Made Designs with the measurements and they quickly turned around a design, 3D-schematic and quotation (these diagrams were better than anything my structural engineer could produce!). The process of tweaking the design, through to ordering and delivery was very easy and fast. Delivery on site was very straight forward and the trusses has been installed by our joiner without any problems. My company works on conversions of old buildings and I wouldn't hesitate to use Tailor Made Designs for our next project. Thank you."
